I know you like to use a lightning lane as soon as possible to unlock it for other lightning lanes. If you’re planning on rope dropping, does it make sense to ride something else before using your first lightning lane so you can get two short wait times? For example, if you have a lightning lane for Pirates of the Caribbean early in the morning, should you rope drop Jungle Cruise first or is it better to use your lightning lane for your first ride?
In one of the videos Rob did, I think it was the competition one. He had a Mickey’s Philharmagic for exactly on park opening but could still tap in 5 minutes early to unlock. Doing that means you can still get across to rope drop Jungle Cruise.
If that’s not possible, I would prioritise rope dropping Jungle Cruise (or another ride that gets long lines) before unlocking as you want to get as much benefit from the shorter lines as possible.
