Hollywood Studios Questions!

Are there always 2 showings of Fantasmic? And if there are can you go to either if you have the Fantasmic dining package?

I don’t know if they always have 2 shows but the Disney website says the Fantasmic Dinning options are for the 1st show and that is what I went by when I was there. I wanted to go to the later show so I didn’t bother with the dinning options, but I had a really long day & didn’t make it to the late show either to say there was plenty of seating with out it or not. I guess my 2 cents is website says dinning package applies to 1st show but the 10pm show is super late after a long day so plan a break/nap if you can so you can get to the late show.

Ok…as soon as I posted that and went back to my email, the next email was this article…so apparently everything is changing…disregard what I said and read this….

Thank you! My guess is that by mid November when we go it will be one show a night mostly. We are doing a sit down lunch at 50’s to break the day up, so it wasn’t much more to do the package and not have to wait so long in line for good seats. This way we can arrive like 20 minutes before show time.

Hi Ellen! So I wouldn’t be surprised if they have some two show days while you are there in November. Sunday the 16th is as far as the calendar goes for now and they have shows at 8 and 9:30. Same on Tuesday the 11th. One of the things I like most about going near the end of the year is the sun goes down earlier and you get more “park in the dark” :joy: Just a heads up to keep checking the schedule! This reminds me it has been WAY too long since I’ve watched Fantasmic!

Heigh Ho Elizabeth! And thanks for your advice! So many times I planned on seeing Fantasmic! over the years and just got too tired to hang around that long lol. I can’t totally empathize! And I noticed that on the dining packages as well. I have no idea how that would work with the second show. Hmm. Time to do some research!

Craig do park hours extend when they have a later show or is the second showing just post park close?

That’s a good point about the shorter daylight hours. I am excited to get to ride things after dark.

It’s usually that way I believe. Park close = last showtime. It looks like they have park hours listed through November 26th as of right now so hopefully that will help! It’s so frustrating that they can’t commit to park hours further out than 60 days or so.

I am pumped for “park in the dark” time!

At MVMCP we plan to hit 7DMT and Tron to experience them in the dark, and of course the rides with an overlay.

At HS we definitely want to do Slinky at night.

Any other rides we should plan to do after dark?

I timed 7DMT so I would be riding during fireworks once and it was awesome! I know Rob suggests doing the same on BTMRR so I’ll be doing that once it comes back sometime! Tiana’s is another one that is extra magical at night, but it may be a little too chilly in November (but you never know!) ToT is a good one too. And of course you have to experience Pandora at night too if it fits in your itinerary! Now I’m really pumped for my December trip!
