Hello! We’re planning a WDW trip in the first week of October, and this is the first time when Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a possibility for us. We usually like a pretty full park day but we’re not that interested in meeting characters. We like rides, shows, parades, fireworks and shopping at the gift shops. I have lots of questions. I’m hoping some experienced party-goers can help us decide if the party is right for us vs. a regular full day at MK.
I understand there are no Lightning Lanes during MNSSHP. Are the lines really going to be short enough in early October for a family of serious LL users or will we be frustrated with the wait times?
I understand you can enter the park at 4:00 p.m. before the party. Can you start riding rides then or do party-goers have to wait until the party starts?
It looks like some rides will not be open during the party, correct?
Usually I download our ride photos without buying Memory Maker because I have LLs. Will we need to purchase Memory Maker to download ride photos from that night?
1 - The party wait times tend to be short for everything except TRON - mainly because there are SO MANY party things you don’t really have time to do rides even with short lines - but if this is your priority you should be good.
2 - you can start riding as soon as you get in the door - in fact this is what we do most times.
3- I do not remember rides not be open - but SHOWS are not open - so Tike Room/country bears/laugh floor if those are on your list - do those.
4 - yes you will need to purchase Memory maker
5 - Yes - I saw every gift store open - but as a reminder Star Traders in Tomorrowland transitions to a merch location for the party - so it is SWAMPED during the event.
Hope that helps - and excited to see you at the party!!
