Heigh-ho Ear Scouts! Thanks for joining us here on our brand new forum. After you set up your profile, reply to this post to say hello to everyone and introduce yourself. We’ll go first…
Heigh-ho everybody - we’re Rob and Erick and we create the videos you find over on the Ear Scouts YouTube channel. When we’re not bouncing around the parks making videos, Erick is a professional photographer and Rob is a graphic and web designer. Our favorite park at Walt Disney World is Animal Kingdom and that’s also where you’ll find our favorite rides: Flight of Passage for Erick and Expedition Everest for Rob. We’ve been to Disneyland in Anaheim, Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disney Resort, but we are excited to take our very first Disney cruise next month. What about you? What are your favorite things about Walt Disney World? If you’ve been to other parks or on other Disney Adventures, let us know and let us know which was your favorite. Also, don’t forget to make some posts in the different forum categories to share your experiences and let everyone know your best tips and suggestions. Thanks again for joining us and we hope your visit is filled with lots of happy thoughts.
Heigh Ho everyone - So glad to be apart of this great community - here is pic from my last Girls Trip! I have been going to Disney since 1991 - but didn’t get an annual pass until 2022 ! We waited until we were “empty nest” and could go anytime we wanted. I have done trips of all types from family with small kids to adult only - If you need any help planning trips or have questions - don’t hesitate to ask! - Jessica
Hello! I’m Michelle and I’ve been following Ear Scouts since the early days when I was wowed by their first Genie Plus video! I remember when they celebrated 500 subscribers Seems like forever ago! I love planning WDW trips almost as much as I love being there I love the “game” of trying to get as many LLs as possible, play the slots for better times, and hit everything on my family’s wish list. Somehow in the midst of that I also like to pause, look around WDW, and just take in the atmosphere and the magic. I’m also one of those people who resists all of the changes to IP, and misses The Great Movie Ride, the big Mickey hat at “MGM Studios,” the Lights Motor Action Stunt Show, Horizons, and more. If WDW were closer to my home (and not so hot) I’d be there all the time!
Heigh Ho everyone! I’m a little nervous about joining a message board again, but here we goooo…
I’m a Disneyland local and usually go at least every other week. We’re DVC members and travel to WDW semi-regularly. My favorite rides are Big Thunder (DL) and Cosmic Rewind (WDW). My goal is to be able to travel to every Disney Park. We also love Disney Cruise Line. We went on our “Royal Flush” cruise a few months before the Treasure sailed, so now we hope to sail all of the new ships, too! Our next sailing is June 2026 on the Destiny!
My name is Rob and I am the co-host of the Dis-List podcast. I live in western New York and I’m a happily married father of 2. I’ve been going to Disney since the late 70s.
Each week on my podcast, my co-host Nick and I list everything at Walt Disney World. Please check us out if you get a chance.
Heigh-Ho Everyone! Craig here from the Podcast. aka Quizmaster Craig from the Patreon Jamborees . My year of birth falls right between the opening of Disneyland and the opening of Walt Disney World which should give you an idea of how long I have been around . I have a passion for helping people have the most Magical vacation possible, and I am so grateful to Rob and Erick for creating such a fun and caring community! And between Scoutmaster Jessica and I, we hope to get your questions answered! Thank you ALL for joining us at our new home!
Hi Pixiechick! Welcome aboard! I’m really excited to hear about a Disneyland local in our midst! That’s a wealth of knowledge right there I joined DVC back in ‘99 and still get so much value out of it! Do you have points in California?
Hey Michelle! I totally get how using LLs can be a game. (I do the same with my blood glucose monitor ) And yes, it can be so Magical just being quiet and taking in the surroundings. World Celebration in Epcot is one of my favorite places to just sit and soak it all in.
Heigh Ho! Completely brand new member and altogether confused newbie Patron and Discourse user.
We are UK based and both me and my husband have been coming to Disney World/Land separately since 1993 (both being 11) and jointly since 2016. Ear Scouts videos were instrumental when we first visited Disney World with our son and trying to navigate LLs, ILLs, VQs and every other abbreviation under the sun - we also love playing the slots!
Our ‘home’ park is Disneyland Paris - last drove over in Feb for our Disney fix - we refer to it as ‘cold Disney’, lots of big coats needed. For the past 2 years we’ve visited Disney World In August and went to MNSSHP and we’re planning Disneyland Cali for 2026.
Hi QMCraig! Thanks for the warm welcome! We joined DVC in 2005 with Saratoga as our home resort. We’re using points to stay in one of the Duo Garden rooms at DL for my birthday next weekend. We’ve never done a Duo Studio before & I’ve been wanting to try one of the garden rooms, so we’ll see how it goes!
I’ve been loving your podcast! I found out about when Ear scouts Rob was a guest and have been very much enjoying getting caught up on all your episodes!
Heigh-Ho everyone! I’m glad to have found this happy place on the internet with such a fun group of people!
I come from the frozen tundra of Minnesota and have been visiting Disney parks since my first trip in 2006. From that first trip staying at the Howard Johnson Inn on International Drive to becoming a DVC member in 2014, my escapes to my favorite place have become much more frequent, ha! My favorite park probably changes by the day, but my favorite ride will always be Expedition Everest (which I’m hoping to get to ride while running my first WDW marathon this year!)
I’m a single mom to a 14 year old boy, care taker to 3 cats and a golden retriever, and a pharmacist by day!
I look forward to fun discussions and getting to know everyone here!
I remember having to drive through the middle of Minnesota after a huge storm and the roads were literally sheets of ice. As much as I love winter, I don’t know if I could handle that on a regular basis! It is such a lovely state!
